Over the last 45 years the Radio Lollipop team have gained a good understanding of the kind of interaction and play that children really enjoy. We always put them at the centre of every activity. From presenting, to colouring, and from winning prizes to choosing the music. This is about empowering children at a time when they have had so much taken away from them.
While the Radio Lollipop team are in the room, the child is able to escape the worries and traumas of being unwell and instead indulge in just having fun.
We are lucky enough to see everyday the power of play at work across the world.
WE BRING THE HAPPINESS
Play comes in all forms. From simple colouring in to making and doing, or from taking part in a Radio Competition to just simply the joy and warmth of cuddling a toy. The Radio Lollipop volunteers have to deal with all kinds of abilities, likes and dislikes. But they never fail to bring a smile and some happiness to the bedside.
THE LOLLITROLLIE
The Radio Lollipop LolliTrollie is totally unique and been designed specifically for Radio Lollipop. This amazing innovation in play is literally rolling out across the world.
The Trolley turns any room into a complete Radio Lollipop Studio experience, with everything you could ever want to kickstart a play interaction as well as the ability to transform the atmosphere of a any space in the hospital.
Equipped with laudatory lights and lasers, a beautiful bubble machine, a balloon pump, a substantial speaker system and magical microphones., this rolling wonder attracts children and generates smiles and laughs where ever it goes.
The Radio Lollipop volunteer teams has seen how impactful this Trolley can be and is keen to roll it out to all hospitals as soon as possible. But to do this we will need your help.
